Position Overview: We’re looking for a reliable server ready to model professionalism and enthusiasm during our dinner and brunch services. The person in this role will be the face of Finest’s sit-down dining service, building genuine relationships with our customers.
All candidates who apply must be able to:
- Stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work 8 hour shifts with one break.
- Be present for shifts on weekends and holidays.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation practices.
- Arrive on time to shifts and maintain proper hygiene.
- Follow directions consistently. Work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Hold conversations in English.
Our ideal candidate…
- Has demonstrated experience as a table server.
- Can easily memorize and talk confidently about menus.
- Has a trained eye on the flow of service and guests' overall experience.
- Has strong verbal communication skills and enjoys meeting people. Proven experience developing rapport with guests is a plus.
- Is plugged into the Asheville community and cares about locals thriving. Loves this town.
- Is energized to build something together. Is willing to be flexible as we iron out the logistics of a new business.
- Receives feedback well and enjoys trying new things.
- Is dependable and self-directed. Takes ownership of and pride in their work.

Job Responsibilities:
- Familiarize guests with menu options. Accurately and thoroughly answer all guest questions about the menu and company. Offer recommendations and relay specials.
- Ensure guest safety by proactively asking about food allergies and managing personal hygiene.
- Take food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen or bartender. Deliver orders to tables. Ensure they are correct and that guests are satisfied.
- Manage each party’s experience. As guests seem interested: embody our values, share our story, or offer education on menu items and beverages.
- Clean dining area during and after service.
Logistics:
- This is a part time role. Server will be asked to work between 1 and 3 shifts on weekends (Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday daytime).
- This position reports to Gab, our Director of Beverage, Events, and Front of House.
- For candidates who reach the final stages of this application process, we will conduct a background check to screen for any past conduct that endangered the safety of the candidate or others. We may also ask for references or a paid working interview in the final stages of this process.

Compensation and Perks:
- Base pay will start at $7.25/hour before tips. Finest ensures that all employees make $23.15 for every hour worked.
- As part of our commitment to shared success, Finest will distribute a portion of profits biannually to Operators—defined as team members who keep the business running. Distributions will be calculated based on total hours worked and length of service.
- Staff discounts on all products.
